Traffic Advisors

Traffic Direction Lights are extremely effective for regulating traffic flow and guiding drivers. These lamps are equipped with high quality LED lights and various strobe modes, making them effective in any weather and lighting conditions.

Traffic Direction Lights play a critical role in traffic management and road safety. Easily recognizable both day and night, these lights provide drivers with clear and understandable instructions, preventing potential hazards and accidents. ARMAS manufactures these lamps according to the highest quality standards.

Specifying a Traffic Advisor: Pattern Logic, Size and Placement

A traffic advisor has one job: telling an approaching driver, unambiguously and at distance, which way to move. Pattern logic therefore drives the specification. A left- or right-flowing arrow directs traffic into a single open lane; a centre-out double arrow signals that the vehicle may be passed on either side; and a caution (flash-only) mode attracts attention where no directional instruction should be given. The ARROW-24, ARROW-30 and ARROW-50 families apply this logic across different size requirements — as a general rule, longer viewing distances and wider vehicles justify a larger panel, and each model's dimensions, voltage support and pattern options are listed in the specification table on its product page. Placement matters as much as the panel itself: mount it high on the rear of the vehicle, in the unobstructed sightline of following traffic, so the pattern reads correctly from far away. ARMAS develops and manufactures traffic advisors at its R&D centre in Ankara, supplies public institutions including the national highways authority in Türkiye, and exports worldwide under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified processes. Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose between the arrow patterns?

Select the pattern from the closed lane and the direction traffic must take: the arrow always points toward the open side. Use the double arrow only when both sides of the vehicle are genuinely passable.

Where should the advisor be mounted on the vehicle?

Mount the panel high on the rear of the vehicle, clear of obstructions, so following drivers see the full pattern early. Mounting options and dimensions are given in each product's specification table.

Can the operator change patterns from the cab?

Traffic advisors are designed for in-cab control, so the operator can switch patterns to match the scenario without leaving the vehicle. Control details for each model are described on its product page.

Is a traffic advisor enough on its own?

The advisor provides direction; the vehicle itself is typically made conspicuous with additional lighting such as mini warning lights or beacons. Colour and usage rules vary by country, so confirm requirements with the competent authority in your market.
